Scenario:

The natural light allows your true skin tone and undertones to be best represented. Artificial lighting or even direct sun light may make you appear lighter or darker than you naturally are. Allowing the upper chest to be shown in your picture is THE best way to determine your true skin tone: yellow or red undertones.
